Guide to importing goods from abroad to Armenia for charity

In order to obtain tax benefits, to qualify the import of goods from abroad to the Republic of Armenia as charitable, it is necessary to apply to Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan. 

The application can be sent in paper form or via e-request.am electronic platform. 

The application must be submitted in advance, at least 30 days before the implementation of the program. The program can not be called charitable, if 

-it implies a benefit or profit, 

-includes the allocation of money or other funds to parties and commercial organizations, 

-aims at meeting the consumer needs of their employees, 

-includes transactions for the purchase and sale of goods.

For the purpose of obtaining tax benefits, only the import of goods sent by non-profit organizations and individuals to the address of a non-profit organization can be qualified as a charity.

The application is submitted by the recipient organization, in a free presentation. In the submitted application, it is necessary to describe the purpose of receiving the cargo and the planned activities, the estimated revenues and expenses, the stages and terms of implementation, as well as clearly indicate the date of the performers and recipients. 

Attached to the application must be submitted:

1.cargo invoice,

2.transportation of available documents,

3.in case of donation: donation letter,

4.a detailed list of goods included in the load, 

5.list of beneficiaries by quantity and corresponding value of the distributed goods.
