Catholicos Aram I and the Newly Appointed Iranian Ambassador Discuss Armenians in Iran and the Upcoming Lebanese Presidential Election

His Holiness Aram I welcomed the newly appointed Iranian Ambassador Mujtaba Amani on the 5th of September. During their meeting, they discussed issues concerning the Armenians of Iran and the upcoming Lebanese presidential election.

“The Ambassador made note of the contribution that Iranian-Armenians have made toward the progress of the country and its betterment. In his turn, His Holiness emphasized on the unique role that Iranian-Armenians have played in the lives of the Armenian diaspora.

As for the presidential elections, both His Holiness and the Ambassador stated that they wish for the selection of a president who can be accepted by all parties and who can resolve the country’s socio-economic situation,” A message stated.
