Minister of Diaspora receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajadi

On July 4, Minister of Diaspora Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajadi.

Greeting the Ambassador, the Minister stressed that the Government of Armenia has already presented a plan that sets its priorities and has attached great importance to Armenian-Iranian relations. “We are more than certain that there is extremely great potential for development of bilateral relations in all directions, particularly in terms of economic cooperation. The New Armenia is ready to build relations of a new quality in an atmosphere of mutual trust. In this sense, what is very important is the centuries-old existence of the Armenian community of Iran, which is the guarantee of the centuries-old friendship between Iran and Armenia,” Mkhitar Hayrapetyan added, attaching importance to the revitalization of the economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

Iran’s Ambassador extended thanks for the meeting, welcomed the victory of the Velvet Revolution in Armenia and stated the following: “I am glad to meet an active young minister who has a great desire to work for the benefit of his people and the homeland.” Ambassador Sajadi presented his vision for and recommendations on cooperation with the Diaspora and expressed confidence that the circles of cooperation would expand and become more practical in the New Armenia.
