Armenia and Artsakh Presidents discuss issues on partnership

President Armen Sargsyan had today a meeting with President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan in Stepanakert. The Presidents discussed various issues related to the partnership between the two Armenian states.

After the meeting, President Armen Sargsyan told journalists the following:

“I am glad to mention the fact that Artsakh is truly an established state with democratic institutions, an elected parliament and President, as well as people who are not only proud to be citizens of Arstakh, but also to have a state. I am certain that the democratically elected leaders of Artsakh and the people have experience, pride, courage and, of course, wisdom to solve their domestic issues independently. All us Armenians — Armenia and the entire nation — stand with Artsakh because the challenges remain. They are as big and perhaps bigger today than in the past. Consequently, stability in Artsakh is very important for all us Armenians.”

During the visit, the Presidents of Armenia and Artsakh, escorted by Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan and President of the Union of Freedom Fighters of Artsakh Samvel Karapetyan, also visited the construction site of the Freedom Fighters Park and were introduced to the construction works.
