Events dedicated to 103rd anniversary of Armenian Genocide held in Odessa

On April 24, with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Odessa and the regional organizations of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, events dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide were held in Odessa, Nikolayev, Kherson and Kropivnitsky.

Pastor of Nikolayev and Kherson, Fr. Varag Yaparyan performed a ceremony commemorating the canonized victims of the Armenian Genocide next to the cross-stone commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide near the St. George Church of Nikolayev. In his speech, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Odessa Haik Ghulyan talked about issues related to international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.

On April 24, the pastor of Kherson performed a ceremony near the cross-stone commemorating the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. The ceremony featured speeches by the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Odessa and the president and representatives of the regional organization of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine. The Consul General laid wreaths near the monuments in Nikolayev and Kherson.

Events were also held in Odessa and Kropivnitsky.  Employees of the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Odessa laid wreaths and flowers near the cross-stones on behalf of the Consulate General.
