RA Minister of Diaspora receives Tadeh Karamian

On March 26, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Vice-Chairman of Hamazkaine Nairi and Homenetmen Ararat Sydney Tadeh Karamian.

Greeting the guest, Minister Hranush Hakobyan attached special importance to Karamian’s activities for preservation of the Armenian identity in Sydney. “By being actively engaged in the Armenian community since your prime, you have always been connected to the homeland. I commend the fact that the 62 members of Nairi Dance Group of Sydney visited Armenia and gave a concert in 2014, and 75 athletes of Homenetmen Ararat Association visited Yerevan to participate in the Pan-Armenian Games under your leadership in 2015,” the Minister of Diaspora stated.

Hranush Hakobyan also attached importance to Tadeh Karamian’s contributions to the construction of the Armenian Prelacy in Sydney.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial reception, Tadeh Karamian stated that preservation of the Armenian identity remains the main mission of the Armenian community of Sydney. “My life completely changed 17 years ago when I visited Armenia for the first time ever. I realized that even though I live far away from the homeland, we Armenians abroad need to create our Armenia within our communities. I definitely agree with your call, Mrs. Minister, that every Armenian must see Armenia,” Tadeh Karamian stated. Talking about Armenia-Diaspora relations, the guest emphasized that all members of the Armenian community of Sydney are informed about the events taking place in Armenia, visit Armenia often, and there are even families that wish to repatriate to Armenia.

Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan expressed gratitude to the young figure for his unconditional dedication and for maintaining an Armenian atmosphere in Australia.
