American cable channel to air award-winning Armenian Genocide film on 23 April

On April 23, ahead of the 103rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the U.S. Starz premium cable channel, which has over 20 million subscribers, will air the Armenian Genocide documentary film “Intent to Destroy”.

The director of the film about the Armenian Genocide perpetrated in the Ottoman Empire is Joe Berlinger.

Asbarez recalls that, earlier, the Armenian Genocide film won in the Best Documentary Films category at the 2016 Los Angeles Movie Awards.

The film, which is produced by Berlinger, Eric Israelian and Chip Rosenbloom, depicts the denial of the Turkish government that has been going on for a century.

The film stars Atom Egoyan, Christian Bale, Mike Medavo, Eric Boghosian, Serj Tankian, Angela Sarafyan, Shohreh Aghdashloo and former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia John Evans.
