Number of tourists visiting Ani in the winter grows by 3 times

Even in the winter, Ani, which used to be an Armenian capital city during the reign of the Armenian Bagratuni Kingdom and is now part of modern-day Turkey, continues to receive Turkish tourists and tourists from other countries.

According to the Turkish Sabah, director of the museum in Kars Nejmetin Alp stated that Ani has recorded a growth of tourists in the winter for the first time ever. Alp stressed the fact that the local and foreign tourists visiting Kars, Sarighamish and Childir (Tsovak-ed.) definitely visit Ani as well. According to Alp, this year, there were 3 times more tourists visiting Ani in the winter compared to previous winters, reported news.am.
