Participants of Days of Choral Arts Program of “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival performed in Vanadzor

On August 8, the participants of the Days of Choral Arts Program of the 3rd “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival left for Armenia’s Lori Province where they first visited the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Spitak Earthquake and paid their respects to the innocent victims.

According to Hayern Aysor, in the evening, Music School #1 of Vanadzor hosted a concert that featured performances by Moscow’s Shogher Armenian Choir (artistic director and choirmaster: Yelena Beglaryan), Cairo’s Arax Armenian Choir (artistic director and choirmaster: Mihran Ghazelian), Isfahan’s Tatev Armenian Choir (artistic director and choirmaster: Hamik Alexanian and Estonia’s Yerazank Armenian Choir (artistic director and choirmaster: Ruzanna Hambardzumyan). The choirs’ performances were followed by a performance of one of the songs of Komitas by Vanadzor’s chamber choir.

All the choirs were called to the stage at the end of the event. In his welcoming remarks, Artistic Director of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival Eduard Yesayants expressed gratitude to the regional council of Lori Province for the cordial reception. Deputy Governor of Lori Province Tigran Badoyan granted certificates of appreciation to all the participants of the Days of Choral Arts Program.
