Grand closing ceremony of Days of Armenian Dance Program of “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival was held

July 29th marked the grand closing ceremony of the Days of Armenian Dance Program of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival at Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theater in Yerevan. The festival is organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and being held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

The video devoted to the Days of Armenian Dance Program presented the concerts of the Armenian dance companies of the Diaspora in Armenia’s provinces, as well as their visits to museums and sites worth seeing.

The closing ceremony included performances by 32 dance companies from 25 countries, including Buenos Aires’s Massis Dance Company, Philadelphia’s Meghri Dance Company, Moscow’s Vardavar Dance Company, Saint Petersburg’s Nayiri and Noyan Dance Companies, Apsheronsk’s Urartu Dance Company, Krasnodar’s Armavir, Narek and Ararat Dance Companies, Tbilisi’s Ani and Vank Dance Companies, Ninotsminda’s Parvana Dance Company, Georgiyevsk’s Garun Dance Company, Stavropol’s Nayiri Dance Company, Rostov-na-Don’s Arpi and Hayastani Payler Dance Companies, Sochi’s LOO Dance Company, Kaluga’s Tashir and Karabagh Dance Companies, Minsk’s Erebuni Dance Company, Tallinn’s Sayk Dance Company, Maikop’s Nayiri and Vardanank Dance Companies, Gelenjik’s Nur and Ani Dance Company, Kharkov’s Arax Dance Company, Isfahan’s Erebuni Dance Company, Hamazkayin New Jersey’s Nayiri Dance Company, Dnepropetrovsk’s Nika Dance Group, as well as Samara’s Kilikia Group and Javakhk’s Javakhk Song and Dance Ensemble.

Raffi Shannakian and singer Haig Yesaian from Anjar also performed during the ceremony.

On behalf of the Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia and the RA Ministry of Diaspora, RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan expressed greetings to the participants of the Days of Armenian Dance Program and stressed the following: “Precious sisters and brothers from the Armenian Diaspora,  I cordially welcome you to the Homeland and am very happy that you participated in this unique cultural festival with great excitement these past ten days and showed the warmth of your heart, your arts and your love for the Homeland. What is symbolic is that the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival, which we have dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, is hosting our compatriots and guests from 25 countries around the world. Culture is our image, the “passport” of an Armenian in the world, and we thank you for being involved in the arts on your free time and staying true to your culture. We also express our admiration and gratitude to the dance instructors, directors of groups and ensembles and art teachers. Today we are marking the end of the Days of Armenian Dance Program in Armenia and wish you more success in your careers for the strengthening of cultural partnership between Armenia and the Diaspora and the reinforcement of Armenia, the welfare and the bright future of the Armenian people. I thank you and wish you more performances.”

RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan granted certificates to all the participants of the gala concert of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival.
