The staff at Hayern Aysor electronic newspaper has prepared a questionnaire for the participants of the “Ari Tun” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for homeland recognition. By answering some short questions, the participants of the program can share their memories and feelings about the program and Armenia…

“I felt proud after seeing Armenia”

-My community the way I see it

-I see my community as a very beautiful and hospitable community.

-What was your idea of Armenia before your visit?

-I thought Armenia was a clean country and that the people were kind and open-hearted.

When I came to Armenia, all my expectations were met because I saw my Homeland as a nice and beautiful country. I also loved the people.

-How did you feel after seeing Armenia?

-I felt proud after seeing Armenia.

-Why did you decide to participate in the “Ari Tun” Program?

-I really wanted to recognize my Homeland and learn about the history of the Armenian people.

-What did you get out of the “Ari Tun” Program?

-By participating in the “Ari Tun” Program, I was able to establish a stronger connection with the Homeland and become fully aware of my Armenian identity.

-Which is the place that has made the greatest impression on you during the program?

-The most impressive was the visit to Noravank Monastery. I was very impressed with the sculptures that I saw at the monastery.

-What is one of the memorable events that happened during the “Ari Tun” Program?

-All my days in Armenia are unforgettable for me.

-My host family…

-My host family lives in Proshyan village. They prepare a surprise for me and make me very happy every day. I’m very grateful to them for being so heartfelt and generous.

“It’s as if I’m one of the children of my host family”

-My community the way I see it

-I’m very impressed with my community. Our community organizes various kinds of events and celebrates all state and national holidays.

-What was your idea of Armenia before your visit?

-I have always had great idea about Armenia. My dream was to come and see my historic Homeland. My dream came true, and I’m very grateful to the RA Ministry of Diaspora for that.

-How did you feel after seeing Armenia?

-First, I felt proud. I’m especially charmed by the nature of Armenia.

-Why did you decide to participate in the “Ari Tun” Program?

-This program helps us see the sites worth seeing in Armenia. That was exactly the reason why I decided to participate in the “Ari Tun” Program.

-What did you get out of the “Ari Tun” Program?

-The “Ari Tun” Program helped me make many friends. We’re united, and it seems as though we’ve become brothers and sisters. I learned a lot about Armenia by participating in the “Ari Tun” Program.

-Which is the place that has made the greatest impression on you during the program?

-For me, the most impressive was the visit to Geghard Monastery.

-What is one of the memorable events that happened during the “Ari Tun” Program?

-All my days in Armenia are unforgettable. We spent such great and interesting days that I’m certain that I’ll remember them for the rest of my life.

-My host family…

-My host family is very kind to me. They received me with great pleasure as if I was one of their children. I loved this family very much and felt connected to them. They became my second family in the Homeland.

-It’s a very cordial community.

-What was your idea of Armenia before your visit?

-Armenian culture has always helped me get an idea of Armenia. I had always had a great desire to visit Armenia and become more familiar with our centuries-old culture.

-How did you feel after seeing Armenia?

-I feel great. I’m happy to be in Armenia.

-Why did you decide to participate in the “Ari Tun” Program?

-I love meeting new people and establishing new contacts. That was one of the main reasons why I decided to participate in this program. It helped me make more friends…

-What did you get out of the “Ari Tun” Program?

-To put it shortly, I have a lot of good memories after participating in the “Ari Tun” Program.

-Which is the place that has made the greatest impression on you during the program?

-I’m impressed with the visits to Oshakan, Etchmiadzin and Geghard Monastery. I’m very proud that there are such beautiful sites to see in Armenia.

-What is one of the memorable events that happened during the “Ari Tun” Program?

– What I won’t forget is establishing contacts with my fellow Armenians from the Diaspora.

-I lived with my relatives during my stay.
