About Us

The “Hayern Aysor” multilingual (Eastern Armenian-Western Armenian, English, Russian) online newspaper of the RA Ministry of Diaspora has been functioning under the patronage of the Ministry and has been its major media outlet with a new staff since 2011.

Realizing the importance of the multifaceted and multi-layered partnership between Armenia and the Diaspora for Armenia and the Armenian communities of the Diaspora and the role of media, the staff at “Hayern Aysor” is pursuing the same goal that the Ministry of Diaspora pursues as one of the main levers of public administration, that is, to consolidate all Armenians around pan-Armenian values (national, spiritual, cultural…).

“Hayern Aysor” is guided by the imperative of providing materials that interest all Armenians, informative and cognitive information, information that will consolidate all Armenians around the idea of the Armenian identity, will contribute to the preservation of the Armenian identity abroad and will advocate national values with the main target being the major interest of all Armenians.

To exchange information, “Hayern Aysor” is in close collaboration with Diaspora Armenian research, educational and media organizations in Armenia, Armenian community organizations, pan-Armenian organizations, as well as the media and journalists.

The website features a network of correspondents that was established by the principle of volunteerism and is expanding day after day in the classic Diaspora, as well as in the Armenian communities established in the past decades.

The main targets of “Hayern Aysor”’s  policy on information are:

the major programs and events to meet the strategic objectives set forth by the Ministry of Diaspora (“Ari Tun” Program for Diaspora Armenian youth to get to know the Homeland, courses that form a part of the “Diaspora Summer School” Program, the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival, different pan-Armenian forums and conferences, the “Our Greats” Program, various contests and competitions and more), as well as multifaceted coverage of topics related to preservation of the Armenian identity in the Diaspora, identification and consolidation of the potential of all Armenians, promotion of repatriation, the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and consolidation around the Armenian Church.
